Memories form a huge part of our lifes. Memories can be collective shared and individually treasured. What if, someone comes along and snatches your memories, good and bad, away from you for good?

Would Life be better? As you forget all the hurtful and sad things that was in the past or would Life just be the same old mundane routine that we all face everyday?

The answer to the question would be simple. Regardless of life being better or worse for one with memories, one thing is certain, life will not be good for those close to the person.

How would a son feel if his own mother can't recognise himself as his son? How would a wife feel when the man who shares her bed for over half of her lifetime can't seem to call out her name 1st thing she see him?

By now, maybe some of you might have guessed what am I describing here. Some might not, but its ok.

Alzheimer's Diseases robs countless people of their previous memories, depriving them of the essence of this life on earth and causing untold amounts of grief to the kin of sufferers. Yet, there is not much awareness given to Alzheimer's, as compared to other diseases like liver failure, AIDS, and malnutrition.

As the world's ageing population continues to grow, Alzheimer's will surely be on the rise as it occurs mostly within the elderly group. We should pour some the senseless funds used on warfare to research and try to find a cure for this crippling disease.
