i rem the 1st time i tried rock climbing was in secondary sch. cant rem much except that a female classmate of mine 'got stuck' on the wall. cue all the shrieks and whining from above and encouragement and cajoling from below. most importantly, tt was the 1st time i enjoyed the air at the top, it was good.
somehow my odac days in jc was either spend out at selatar island or at our sch's rock wall. in my days, accdg to lim, it was a big deal to have a 12M wall in the sch, and since he was the one who pushed for it, it wld be best if his ECA ppl can utilise it the most to ensure money din go to waste. cue rock climbing courses, belaying courses, abseiling courses. those will fun and i took in the air at the top even more and the view was splendid too.
some PE lessons were spend at the wall, with lim hawking his new baby to anyone who cared to try. and the odac ppl were obviously arrowed for any sai gang tt comes with climbing PE lessons. like the ropes, fig of 8, carabiners etc etc, of cos route setting is done by lim, a chance for him to show off his muscles. haha
sometime between end of jc and start of uni, me and my mates, set out for some RnR in thailand coupled with some natural limestone climbing. the views at the top there were absolutely stunning. the abseiling part was great. gravity never felt so good.
